Ultrasound and Echocardiograms

There are times when our pets require specific imaging to help determine course of care and if additional medical or supplemental support is needed. We are very fortunate to now have the ability to offer in-house ultrasound and echocardiogram for our pets.

An ultrasound of the abdomen allows for imaging of the tissue within the organ, whether it is the bladder, liver, kidneys, or intestinal tract. This can be helpful in a variety of situations, from abnormal lab values to pets who are feeling ill and need more critical care. All of our imaging can be also sent to a radiologist for evaluation without having to go elsewhere.

An ultrasound of the heart (echocardiogram) is helpful for evaluation of our pets who may have heart murmurs or arrhythmias to evaluate its function. We send all of our echocardiograms to a cardiologist specialist for evaluation and medical recommendations.
